Types Of Hacker

In the previous blog a sufficient overview about the term hacking is given. So here is about exploring new terms.....
Let's Introduce another Terminology For learning Ethical Hacking because you will surely hear these terms in further studies about Hacking.
There are several types of Hacker classified by their works but mainly types are given following

• Black Hat Hacker


• White Hat Hacker


• Gray Hat Hacker


• Blue Hat Hacker(Microsoft Hackers)


• Script Kiddie


• Hacktivist(Red hat)

BLACK HAT HACKER

 In this categary illegal activity is considered. People who break the system secuirty by illegal activities and steal some data from any one's system or destroy the system illegally, are called "Black Hat Hacker".These are also called as "Cracker"

WHITE HAT HACKER

In this categary legal activity is considered. People who hack the system having a legal permission to do that are called "White Hat Hacker". These people works under the government permisson or a well proved organisation. The people work ethically so these are also called as "Ethical Hacker".




GRAY HAT HACKER

 These people belong in between the categary of Black Hat Hacker and White Hat Hacker. Sometimes they work Ethically but most of time they works illegaly and these are not organised by any organisation so they are depend on there mind that what they want. that's why Sometimes they work ethically and sometimes they work illegaly and approach towards to be Black Hat Hacker. But In rare case people works illegaly also change their mind and want to work ethically , They are also called as "Gray Hat Hacker".

BLUE HAT HACKER

It is refers to outside the computer security consulting firms that are employed to Bug-Test a system prior to it's launch looking for exploit so they can be closed in particular.Microsoft has Blue Hat Hacker along with White hat Hacker. Blue Hat Hackers are also called as the white hat hacker of microsoft.

SCRIPT KIDDIE

The person who does not know how a system works but they are able to hack that system by using applications , methods , script and programs created by real hackers,are called Script Kiddie. These hackers are also called Hacking-thief.

HACKTIVIST(Red Hat Hacker)

The hackers who use their hacking skills for protesting against injustice and attack a target system and websites to bring the justice.  One of the popular hacktivists is Anonymous and RedHack.
